Sinusitis Help - New Advanced Sinus Irrigation System Hits the Market - the Sinupulse Elite
After two painful sinus operations which didn't resolve my problems, I started using pulsating nasal irrigation with a saline solution, and since then my health has improved dramatically.  Instead of 2-3 or more sinus infections per year I have had two infections in 7 years, and those only occurred after long 24 hour trips from overseas when my resistance was way down.  I used to get colds all the time, but now I watch others with colds and remark to myself how I never get them any more!  Needless to say, I'm sold on pulsating sinus irrigation.  (Note- I tried using a Neti Pot, but that method didn't work for me at all.  There is something about the fast pulses of water that is particularly effective.)

New Features- Mist Irrigation Attachments for Nose and Throat
The SinuPulse Elite' has some new features besides just normal nasal and throat irrigation.  The unit comes with a mist producing irrigation tip which creates mist that can penetrate deeply and soothe nasal passages.  It also comes with a mist producing throat irrigation tip and tongue cleaner.  This attachment helps soothe the throat and tongue and also helps to remove food particles and bacteria that can cause bad breath.

New sinus irrigation machine has recently been introduced called the SinuPulse Elite', and I've been using one for several weeks.  This article will discuss the machine and the results I've had. Although there was a lot of fluctuation in the writing styles of we independent writers, we have come up with an end product on Sinus Problems worth reading! :)

Of course the standard nasal and throat irrigation tips are also available, and these do most of the "heavy lifting".  The mist producing tips can make for additional comfort and relief, but these don't do the whole job and only use about 2 oz. of saline solution.  16 oz. of solution are used with each of the regular tips for nasal and throat irrigation using the SinuPulse Elite'.  I personally do nasal irrigation twice a day because that regimen gives me great results.  Some allergy sufferers only use the machine during allergy season, and that is all they need and works fine for them.  Other people only use it when they feel like a cold is coming on. When a child shows a flicker of understanding when talking about Nasal Irrigation, we feel that the objective of the meaning of Nasal Irrigation being spread, being achieved.

You Want to Improve Your Health, Get Yourself a Sinupulse Elite' and Use It Daily
It feels a little funny at first and takes some getting-used-to (you don't normally have water going into one nostril and out the other), but it is really no big deal.  Almost any good sinus book written in the past 5 years recommends nasal irrigation as a must-do to avoid sinus problems.

  • However, I honestly think that everyone should use pulsating nasal irrigation, not just sinus sufferers.
  • It's just a guess, but I would be willing to bet that everyone would eliminate on average one cold per year using pulsating nasal irrigation.
  • At $100 per doctor visit and countless more on drugs, the level of savings would be in the billions.
  • And this is not to mention gains in productivity and avoidance of the misery of living with a cold and resulting sinus infection in many cases.
  • We have to be very flexible when talking to children about Neti Pot.
  • They seem to interpret things in a different way from the way we see things!
The SinuPulse Elite' unit also comes with 30 packets of saline solution, and there is a user guide that explains exactly how to use the machine and how to mix a saline solution just using non-iodized salt if you prefer, rather than purchasing more saline packets.

Skeptical At First
When something works, you are reluctant to change.  Just because a new machine came along, I wasn't ready to jump in with both feet.  However, my old machine broke down, and I obviously needed a new one.  I wanted to stick with "old faithful", but I had to face the fact that this machine was the second one that broke down on me in a little over a year.  The machine was very good, but the salt solution I used must have taken its toll.

How Most Colds and Allergies Get Started
How do you think most colds or allergies get started in your body?  Bacteria, viruses, pollen and other pollutants enter your system through your nose, of course.  If you wash all this gunk out on a daily basis, it only makes sense that you'll avoid colds, infections, and allergy attacks. It is only because that we are rather fluent on the subject of Nasal Irrigation that we have ventured on writing something so influential on Nasal Irrigation like this!

Simple and Natural Solution
This is a simple and natural way to avoid colds, allergies, and sinus problems that is inexpensive and highly effective.  I spend no more than 5 minutes or so with the procedure each time, and that includes clean up, which is very easy.

Sinusitis infections are a common condition which many people suffer from each year.  There are many factors which contribute to a sinusitis infection.  Frequently, the sinusitis will begin because of a cold or allergy though it can also develop because of fungal infections, reflux disease, and many other diseases such as cystic fibrosis.  The sinusitis itself begins when the sinus cavity lining becomes swollen, usually because of a cold or allergy.  When bacteria enter the sinus cavities and attack the swollen lining, greater inflammation occurs which causes the cilia, which usually flushes out mucus and bacteria that pollute the sinus cavities, to not function properly and therefore the bacteria and mucus become trapped which then causes the sinusitis infection.

Just like in any medical condition, different treatments work for different people.  Fungal sinusitis fatigue depends on what stage the sinusitis is in along with other factors.  What is important is finding the treatment form that works best for you and treating the sinusitis before it gets to a chronic stage that may create more problems and involve more extreme treatment options. :)

Home Remedies are Also Frequently Used
Some people may breathe in hot steam.  The steam is meant to help moisturize the sinuses and help thin the mucus.  Though the steam may offer temporary relief and help some symptoms, in there is in fact an infection, only antibiotics may help cure it.  Irrigation is also another common home remedy.  Irrigation is used by inserting saline solution in to the sinus cavities to also help moisten them.  Just like steam, this may only offer temporary relief and medication will need to be used. Using great confidence in ourselves, we endeavored to write such a long article on Sinusitis Therapy. Such is the amount of matter found on Sinusitis Therapy.

Another option in treating a sinusitis infection when all other treatments have failed is sinus surgery.  Sinus surgery is painful, can leave scar tissue which can lead to future problems, and usually only offers temporary relief since only a portion of the inflammation and infection is removed and so the sinusitis infection often returns. ;)

There are Several Treatments Which are Used to Treat a Sinusitis Infection
One common treatment which is used is over the counter or prescribed nasal sprays.  Nasal sprays work by distributing saline solution or medication up into the sinuses.  The nasal sprays however have a large particle size that cannot make it past the inflammation at the opening of the sinus cavities and up to where the infection lies.  The nasal sprays may only offer relief to the lower part of the sinuses.  Oral antibiotics are also a commonly prescribed medication by physicians.  Oral antibiotics work on many types of infections by flowing through the blood stream to the area of infection.  The sinus cavities only contain a small amount of blood vessels therefore it is difficult for an efficient amount of antibiotic to arrive at the sinusitis infection.  Oral antibiotics also can cause problems throughout the rest of the body, such as abdominal pain.  Another newer form of treatment is aerosolized medications.  Aerosolized medications work great because they are directly distributed into the sinus cavities so that they can cure the problem where it started.

There are many types of symptoms that may be experienced with a sinusitis infection.  Some of the most common symptoms which may appear as cold like symptoms are cough, congestion, postnasal drip, green nasal discharge, and facial pain and pressure.  A person may also experience a headache or even tooth pain due to the pressure of the inflammation pushing on the nerves in face.  When the sinusitis infection lasts for twelve or more weeks it is then considered chronic sinusitis.  With chronic sinusitis a person may also experience loss of sense of taste and smell and they also may become fatigued.  Depending on which sinus cavity that the infection lies, there may also be other symptoms experienced. This can be considered to be a valuable article on Cystic Fibrosis Sinusitis. It is because there is so much to learn about Cystic Fibrosis Sinusitis here.
